Elyssa Kotzen, MPH

Co-Founder
New England Country Mart
In the wake of COVID-19 in March 2020, Elyssa and her husband Jeff Kotzen developed a premium grocery home delivery service called New England Country Mart servicing the Greater Boston area, Rhode Island, and Cape Cod to best serve the community during the pandemic, while supporting local New England businesses through the products they carry. Elyssa also continues to work for CRI Foundation, a private family foundation that provides financial and strategic support to early stage organizations with the potential for high impact and scalability. CRI Foundation works in the global health sector in developing countries in sub-Saharan Africa, predominately with NGOs that provide physical and mental health care, and nutritional interventions. In September 2020, Elyssa was selected as an honoree together with her husband Jeff in the Boston Business Journal’s 2020 40 Under 40. These honorees represent the for-profit, nonprofit and government sectors, and were selected by the Boston Business Journal’s editorial staff from over 400 nominations. The honoree’s stories will be featured in an upcoming special supplement of the Business Journal.

When Elyssa isn’t working (which is rare these days), she enjoys spending time outdoors with her two daughters, Jeff, and their puggle Pepper and cooking, baking, and experimenting in the kitchen, developing content for New England Country Mart’s social media and weekly newsletters.
